Clarion Forensics Speech & Debate Qualifying Tournament

General Guidelines: Please read all information before registering.

This regional qualifying tournament is open to participation by Region 3 NCFCA affiliate families and their eligible students only.
A completed registration must include:

1. Student Registration
2. Judge Registration
3. Affiliate Number
4. Payment

Note that by registering you are affirming NCFCA eligibility, agreeing to abide by all NCFCA dress code requirements, and NCFCA Qualifying Tournament Participation General Rules. See http://ncfca.org for specifics.

Debate

This tournament will host both Lincoln Douglas and Team Policy debate. It is our desire to accommodate all debate applicants, but due to room restrictions, we may have to cap registration. If these slots fill, any additional entries will be placed on a waiting list. If this should happen, we will notify you, simultaneously making every effort to find enough additional space to accommodate our needs. Waiting list teams will be notified immediately if a slot becomes available.

Individual Events Offered

Students may not enter more than three individual events per pattern. All ten NCFCA sanctioned events will be offered. No minimum is required. In an effort to help competitors plan which events to enter in advance, the events for each pattern have been set in advance, and will be as follows:

Cost:

* Team Policy Debate – Per person $35.00.
* Lincoln-Douglas Debater - $35.00.
* IE – 1 to 2 Events - $30.00.
* Each additional speech event $10.00. (Maximum per competitor is 5 events.)

Competitor Registration Deadline: January 5th, 2008.

All changes and drops will be assessed a $10.00 fee.

Chaperones:

If parents are not in attendance, students must provide a medical release form for their chaperone. All chaperones must be willing to judge and/or time. Sorry, no un-chaperoned competitors are allowed.

Cancellation Policy:

All refund requests must be submitted by e-mail to Qualifier@ClarionForensics.com. Requests must be received by 5 p.m. PST on January 5th to be eligible for a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be given for requests submitted after the close of registration.
